A family comprises beautiful relationships, including father, mother, brother, and sister. The author wishes to acknowledge that if you have all family members around you, you are considered the luckiest individual because, unfortunately, “not everyone gets everything.”
Be responsible and content with what you have in this beautiful, self-centric world. As we all agree, family is a core part of any human, followed even by animals. But even within the family, there is a relationship known as the Brother-Sister Relationship.
Today, we will discuss having a sister in a brother’s life as a blessing. Many times, we observe that an elder sister plays a pleasant role akin to a mother, and sometimes, a younger sister, even as a lady, plays an additional affectionate role as his daughter, nurturing a boy’s (her elder brother) life in the making of a solid man.
‘Female’
is not just a word; it is an emotion demanded at every stage of life. When a baby boy is born, he truly looks up for affectionate and nurturing emotions, which are fulfilled by his mother. As he grows into adulthood, the realisation of having a sister truly takes form in a strong, compassionate, and nurturing manner, followed by his wife, who is responsible for his complete life, from giving him a feeling of reliability by sharing life’s rights and wrongs, to creating the word ‘family’ to be meaningful by sacrificing her own demands and aspirations, and then followed by Daughter…
Every relationship is important; it’s not about prioritising relationships as tasks to accomplish. Here, we again come to the term – “Having a sister” in a brother/man’s life.
“Sisters are truly blessings, provided by God.” If today I hold the values, including respecting other females, having a sense of understanding about female’s problems, and even my own dressing sense, everything inculcated in myself, by whom? Obviously – my elder sister.
A perfect example we can conclude here is of a woman describing the ideal nature of the Brother-Sister Relationship –
-> When she was getting married, what her brothers did for the better life she would be having, by fulfilling the demands of the groom’s family from money to a first-class motorcycle in the era of 2000, where her family was struggling to get basic amenities to live on. Her brothers fulfilled every demand, aka dowry, including a hefty amount of money and also a top-class Bajaj motorbike back then in 2000, which was not affordable for even 95% of the whole population of India.
But for what? Her life to be settled and comfortable. Yes, they sacrificed a lot, especially her eldest brother among the rest five (5), who stretched himself more than his capacity only to see his sister in a good environment as she was getting married to a policeman, whom her brother found through a rigorous search for the groom.
Time passes,
All those years became a true testament to how things never become so easy, and especially satisfying the man’s family demands didn’t mean that she would live in a comfortable and overwhelming environment.
She faced huge burdens which she never assumed. Followed by taking care of her husband’s family (now her own family), including her husband, father, mother, and, as usual, children. She forgot what she prioritised, rest everyone except herself.
A Tragic Incident Happened
(almost 10 years after her marriage)
Her Eldest Brother passed away due to cancer, and this was the worst nightmare she was assuming when she heard the news; her eyes were still open, but yes, it wasn’t a nightmare; that was the truth. The author can’t describe what she felt that day, but the worst can be shown in her eyes was losing a core part of herself, a brother who cared about her like a father had passed away…
This was no normal……
Her eyes were never dry when she went through her past, being along with her brother, playing in childhood side by side to listening to her brother during complex fights between her husband.
From the day he died, she was not being normal/usual as before she was.
6 months after his death, gestured by herself, including having food one time or even escaping the meal for a whole day, followed by weeping eyes full of tears while performing any regular task
From waking up with completely tear-filled eyes to getting into bed for sleep at night, there were just tears, silence, the sensation of losing someone she truly called as her core.
This process continued for almost a year. She never was the same after that incident; a lot in herself changed.
This was the strong bond of a brother and a sister.
This was the bond they were having till the last breath
This was the true love, proposed by blood relation
For a boy/man, his sister is everything for him; maybe sometimes he will feel if she is his mother, taking care at every point of life, and sometimes as a friend who will guide him in getting the best understanding of skincare, dressing sense, and even a bigger part, i.e., relationships. Lastly, sometimes a younger sister as like her daughter who taught him the actual meaning of being responsible.

I believe, no situation can break this bond.
Nicely described
Just felt every thing while reading.
